A Note From Dr. Andrus

Why Refer Complex Cases Here

“It's better for the patient and reflects well on you if you help the complex patients find us first. We are happy to help you know what to look for when determining this. To the specialists, don't be scared to discuss referring to a prosthodontist with your referring doctors.

Remember — we return the patient to the referring office for routine care, communicate the treatment plan in writing before starting, and co-develop the case with the referring doctor. The patient's home dentist remains their primary dentist.”

Multidisciplinary Co-Treatment

What That Looks Like in Practice

  • Co-treat with referring general dentists. The patient's home dentist stays the primary dentist. We handle the prosthodontic side and return the patient to your office for routine care.
  • Pre-surgical planning + attending surgeries with periodontists and oral surgeons. We guide bone reduction and fixture angulation chairside — so you can save time and relax knowing the prosthodontic plan is being executed correctly during the surgical phase.
  • Pre-orthodontic mock-ups for orthodontists. We design the proposed final restoration up front, so the orthodontic target is visible before bracket-on. Less re-treatment, fewer surprises at debond.
  • Post-orthodontic finishing through equilibration. Once orthodontics are complete, we close the case with occlusal adjustment and any final restorative work.
